Six Multiple Listing Services' Data Now Available Through Retsly

By making their data available via Retsly's API, new tools and services can be developed while the MLSs retain control over their data

SEATTLE and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Retsly, a software company that collects and standardizes real estate data from multiple listing services (MLSs), today announced that a number of MLSs across North America have made their data available via Retsly's Application Programming Interface (API).

Retsly partners with MLSs to make their data widely available, data that can often be customized to the specific needs of the region the MLS serves, and in the process, standardizes it so it can be easily used by technology companies or developers to make new tools for the real estate industry. While anyone can request access to the data, the MLS maintains complete control over who accesses the data and for what product, and the Retsly platform provides complete transparency around how the data is used.

Six MLSs, including Houston Association of REALTORS®, Houston, Texas; Arizona Regional MLS, Phoenix, Ariz.; Regional MLS of Portland, Portland, Ore.; Hawaii Information Services, Honolulu, Hawaii; Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board, Kelowna, British Columbia, Saskatoon Region Association of REALTORS, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; are now available through Retsly's API. Retsly is owned and operated by Zillow Group.

"Retsly's API opens a world of opportunity for MLS and their members," said Errol Samuelson, Zillow Group chief industry development officer. "We've hosted several hackathons, and the products and services that we've seen come out of those have been amazing. REmine, for example, is using MLS data accessed via Retsly to provide agents with easy access to advanced public record information. The flexibility, security and control that Retsly provides for MLS data is simply put unparalleled."
